About Us

Ekal Abhiyan Belgaum, established in 2007 under the Societies Act, was founded under the visionary leadership of Late Shri Suresh Hundre Ji. Since its inception, the organization has been committed to uplifting rural communities by providing access to quality education for children, better healthcare services, and opportunities for sustainable economic development.

In addition to these core efforts, we actively promote the mental and spiritual well-being of rural youth through cultural initiatives and value-based programs that nurture character and community harmony.

Empower Rural Lives Through Knowledge, Care, and Self-Reliance

Our Founder

Shri Suresh Hundre Ji, the visionary founder of Ekal Abhiyan Belgaum, was a renowned industrialist, philanthropist, and a man deeply committed to ethical living and social responsibility.

A mechanical engineer from KREC Surathkal (now NITK), he was one of the founders of the Polyhydron Group of Industries, known across India not just for innovation in fluid power systems, but for building a business model rooted in ethical values, fairness, and integrity.

While his professional success was remarkable, his true legacy lies in his unwavering commitment to society — especially in uplifting rural communities through education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.

Ekal Abhiyan Belgaum was born from this vision: to bring transformation to villages by nurturing self-reliant individuals and value-based communities.

Even today, his ideals continue to guide our mission — reminding us that true leadership is not just about building industries, but about building lives.

Swami Vivekānanda

Our Inspiration

Swami Vivekananda’s words, If children cannot go to school, then let the school go to the children,  became the motivation behind the Ekal Movement, dedicated to bringing education to under served communities. In tribal and rural areas where access to schools is limited, our committed full-time workers establish learning centers, ensuring children receive quality education despite geographical and economic challenges.

Supporting this mission is a passionate network of urban volunteers who mobilize resources, funding, and advocacy to sustain these schools. Their efforts bridge the gap between opportunity and necessity, fostering sustainable education. Together, we turn Vivekananda’s vision into reality, empowering children with knowledge, dignity, and the tools for a brighter future.

Vision

A future where every child, regardless of geography or circumstance, has access to quality education and the opportunity to thrive

Mission

To bridge the educational divide by establishing learning centers in tribal and rural areas, empowering children through accessible, inclusive, and quality education. We connect grassroots efforts with urban support networks to create sustainable, community-driven change.
