Primary Shiksha

1)  Ekal Abhiyan, Karnataka, is a organization situated at Belagavi, Karnataka.

2) Main thrust has been given for the development of tribal and rural society living in remote villages of India. “Ekal Vidyalayas” (One Teacher Schools” are set up in these areas to impart Primary Education to the children in the age group of 5 – 14. They are taught the syllabus of 1 st to 5 th Std. in imformal way. The distinct feature of these vidyalayas is “Value Based Education”. These schools are conducted from 5:30 to 8:30 in the evening by the Acharya (Teacher). The Acharya is 10th or 12th pass Youth  from the same village. The panchpukhi siksha covers following subjects:

  • Primary Education
  • Village development ( Gram Vikas)
  • Health education
  • Empowerment Jagran (Awarness and proper implementation about Govt’s schemes at village level for welfare of the villagers.

3) Ekal Vidylaya has established in Belagavi covering the villages of Khanapur, Shiroli, Jamboti, Ramnagar, Alanavar and Haliyal. We have around 186 schools around Belagavi.
